POLE PHOTOGRAPHY POP-UP SESSIONS
Skin. Steel. Light. Motion.
Professional pole photography brought directly to your studio - complete with lighting, backdrop, equipment, participant direction, proofing, editing, and final digital delivery.
Bring Crypt & Clay to your community.
Crypt & Clay pop-up photoshoots give your students and instructors the opportunity to book individual professional pole photography sessions inside the studio where they already train. I bring the photography setup to you, build a temporary shooting space around one of your poles, and photograph participants in individually scheduled 45-minute sessions customized for their vibe, skills, and goals throughout the event.
THE HUMAN BEHIND THE LENS
I'm Lindsay, also known as “Tonks” in pole world.
I'm a photographer, pole dancer, and X-Pert certified Level 1 & 2 pole instructor based in Greenville, South Carolina. Because I speak pole as well as photography, I understand the difference a few degrees can make in a shape, where contact needs to happen, when a dancer is reaching muscle fatigue, and when I need to move my camera instead of asking the dancer to change a perfectly good pose.
Participants don't need to know how to model. I help with pose selection, angles, hand and foot placement, transitions, and modifications while keeping the session appropriate to the dancer's actual skill level.
Sessions can include pole tricks, grounded poses, floorwork, portraits, detail shots, or a combination based on each dancer's style and goals.
Different dancers need different photographs. The goal is not to force every participant into one visual formula, but to create a cohesive event while leaving room for strength, sensuality, softness, drama, detail, and individual style.
Your Pole photography Should look and feel like you.

Additional Final Images

One Session. Two Ways of Experiencing it.
Experience Still- A FRACTION OF A SECOND.
KEPT. $150
"Capture the frozen peak."A traditional pole and artistic photography session focused on the split-second moments where everything aligns perfectly. We focus on detail work, lines, dramatic lighting, and artsy close-ups like fabric textures, tattoos, nail art, fingers touching fabric, floor work and a curl of hair suspected in midair as if it belonged there forever in a ballerina. A moment of your movement, your lines, and your body- exactly as it is. A moment preserved, not perfected.
The Crypt & Clay Still Experience includes a 45-minute individual photography session, 5 fully edited, high-resolution final digital images, and a private, online proof gallery to review all of their raw/unedited photos and videos with an option to purchase additional final images and/or short, unedited video clips from their session.
Experience Motion- Some things aren't meant to be frozen. $150
"Capture the spaces in between."A short-form, cinematic moving portrait of the way you move. This is not a standard video of a routine—it is an intentional, slow-focused study of your unique flow in the way you move. We capture the spin of a skirt and the wind in the hair in a pole skin, transitions between shapes, tricks, details, breath, heels, hands, the way your fingers trace your bodysuit, and those few seconds of the moments immediately before "the moneyshot" and the moments immediately after. Professionally filmed and edited piece by piece and woven into a short film that looks, feels, and moves like you. Designed to preserve your full movement- not to just document a handful of still frames of it- and deliver to you a breathtaking, poetic moving portrait that moves the way you move.
The Crypt & Clay MOTION Videography Experience includes a 45-minute individual videography session, 1 short-form motion videography cinematic portrait of you and the way you move, a private online proof gallery of your session and the option to purchase 1+ final image(s) ($20 per image), 1+ raw, unedited singular short-form motion videography clip(s) ($20 per clip), and/or an additional, uniquely different high definition fully cinematic portrait ($100).
experience STILL + MOTION- CRYPT & CLAY SIGNATURE EXPERIENCE- $250
STILL photography captures the fraction of a second. MOTION videography keeps everything happening around it. Designed together so you can preserve both the photograph of the moment and the movement that made it. Hold it. Let it Breathe. Let it move. Both types of moments are uniquely yours.
The STILL + MOTION Crypt & Clay Signature Experience includes a 45 minute session of both still photography + motion cinematic videography. Included in your session price, you'll receive 45 minutes of shooting time, 5 fully hand-edited, high resolution final digital images, 1 short-form high definition motion videography cinematic portrait of you and the way you move, a private online proof gallery of your session and the option to purchase 1+ additional final image(s) ($20 per image), 1+ raw, unedited singular short-form motion videography clip(s) ($20 per clip), and/or a second (or third!) strategically different high definition fully cinematic portrait designed by your photographer to preserve the ways you move ($100).

FAQ

Does crypt & Clay handle the booking/payments or does my studio?
I am open to doing it either way. Some studios prefer to use their internal booking system that their students and instructors are already used to and find it easier to set up the time slots and collect payments for the sessions within their student portal. If you do this option, all sessions will be booked and paid for to the studio and the studio will pay me for my portion on the day of the event.
If I book the sessions and collect payments, I will need to know from you if your studio will be adding a studio fee to the session price (up to $25 per session), and participants will pay me the total price and I will pay the studio their portion on the day of the event.
How does the booking process work from start to finish?
First, I talk with the studio owner or admin and set up the details for the event. Ie what is the date of the event? What time frame are we booking sessions? What types of sessions will be offered (still, motion, or still + motion)? How will students book, pay, and sign up (through your studio system directly or through Crypt & Clay)? Then we make a plan for how information will be shared with me regarding client bookings (ie if they pay and book through your studio, who will share the client information will me i.e. names, email addresses, phone numbers, etc. so that I can contact them directly to set up their consultation and deliver their proof galleries final images/video?
How many final images can we expect to receive?
A photography session includes a proof gallery of anywhere between 150- 500+ images to choose from (amount varies from client to client depending on how much rest time they need between shapes/tricks, how many outfit changes they want to do, how much directing they need during the shoot, etc. For a motion session, clients will receive 1 final short-form high resolution vertical cinematic portrait from a variety of motion clips filmed in their session.
Can we purchase additional images and upgrade to the full gallery?
Yes, additional still images are $20 per images (or if they purchase 5 additional images for $100 they will get a 6th additional image free, and if they purchase 10 additional images for $200 they will get 5 more additional images free). They may also add a motion portrait to their session for $100.
If a client wishes to purchase their entire unedited proof gallery, they may do so for $100. These images will not be individually hand edited for lighting, contrast, crop, composition, or distractions and will be delivered exactly as they appear in the client's raw gallery.
